Hi all
There are still one or two loose ends which I have to attend to but we are now ready to receive the first batch of tyres from our supplier. I will contact them in this regard and let you guys know how our valuable cargo is doing.
One of our members however failed to make the extended deadline for payment. He also failed to respond to my email in this regard so I have to presume the joke was on me. I would have to say this kind of behaviour is not fit for a LOCSA member at all.
This means that we have one set of tyres still available (either 4 or 5 tyres). If anyone is interested please PM me in this regard.
Regards Marius

Some good news for members that are keen on getting the 175/80R16 tyres in future. A second batch of 20 tyres are already on it's way - this will at least ensure continued supply for the near future. Time of arrival will be posted soon... There is a good chance that the first batch will be ready for us just after the Easter Weekend - I will let you guys know. There is more good news in the pipeline - but that will have to wait for a bit later when things are more certain...so keep watching this space! Regards Marius

Hi Ventz
I am sure that once your clients see the tyres they will be more than interested. Lets hope the tyre will be as durable as advertised but I have no doubts about the quality. The Nankang brand has a good name throughout the world.

That's great news Marius.
Maybe the extra set should be advertised at Junkmail and Gumtree ?
The sooner all tyres will be sold, the better the chance that the Importer will continue importing more tyres.

Hi Danie For the moment it won't be nessasary to advertise the extra set wider than LOCSA. The supplier is very keen to support us and I think these tyres will be available in future. I was going to do this only when the tyres arrive but a special thanks to you for your support and help with this matter - much appreciated Marius

Hi Darryn! ;D
Arrival in Cape Town was scheduled for Friday the 15th. I trust that it was the case, but I have not heard any news. I expect some feedback on Monday/Tuesday and as soon as I hear anything I will let you guys know.
There will obviously be some paperwork to do so I expect delivery in the North West shortly after the Easter weekend.
Regards Marius

Hi guys I thought I was going to hear from our importers by now but still nothing. If I don't hear anything by THURSDAY I will surely contact them just after the Easter Weekend for some news. I expect things are a bit hectic just short of the holidays. Talk about hectic the Stork delivered three little goats this morning and I am expecting some more through the night Regards Marius

Close up of rim paint used was Rust-oleum, an imported aerosol from the USA

Thanks Marius, I first used this spray paint on wheels of the vehicles we operated in the Coastal reserve at Alexandria. Never had any rust problems and the paint lasted well in the abrasiveness of the sand dunes. Hope the quality is still the same.....
