I wonder in whose dealership this was taken?

The first two pictures were used in the CMH brochure as part of their advertising campaign. I still have the brochure. The second picture included a bit more scenery.
The "panel van" was introduced just before the Intermediate (I think) and a few were sold.
My guess as far as the dealership >> probably Durban.

Hey Charles, calm down!
On the pictures 1 and 2 from above is the very same car - and this is my own personal Lada which I drive daily. Very funny indeed.
Marius is right - it is on the CMH advertising brochure. Until waiting for the first delivery of Ladas they didn't waste time and used my own car to create the Sidekick body kit. During that time I enjoyed a few luxury courtesy CMH cars. My Lada was before so called Safari - with black wrap around bullbar, running boards and double pipe back step/towbar. After all advertising campaigns I removed all Sidekick accessories and fit back all my own accessories. You can see the wheels and bullbar are the same on both pictures. But it never been maroon - everything is computer graphic design illusion.
Thanks for the sweet memory.

In near future I'll restore a panel van like the picture No 3. I've got it and all papers are OK. It is registered as panel van (they were only few) which make it ideal for small business somewhere with not very good roads. Actually this was the only one panel van 4x4 in South Africa. VAT and taxes will be claimable. Rear windows, seat and trims - available on request.
What I mean for near future - let's hope - October.
Regards
V.

Hi Charles,
You are a big supporter of the brand. I can prepare for you the same looking car if you wish, just tell me. It will be difficult to match the same rims an bullbar because they are from 1990's but it will be very close.

One of the most interesting Niva 1.7 derivatives is the VAZ-2120 Nadezhda. It has not been a particular success in Russia and only produced in very limited numbers. Probably a bit slow on the open road and underpowered for it's size - but interesting nevertheless. I certainly would want one The production vehicle comes with the standard 16" rim. Attachments:

The Lada Oka! Here is some interesting reading about the Oka - esp the part about the USA >> en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VAZ-1111There is also a new Oka very much based on the Fiat Panda which I do like and an Oka2 concept car. There is even an Oka3 concept. Have a look here for some pics on new Ladas in the making >> news.drive.ge/index.php?m=247&newsid=1662Marius Attachments:
