Hi Corne
If the front oil seal is leaking, you should be able to replace the seal without removing the engine. I haven't done it this way, but to my mind the radiator could be removed, then you should be able to remove the Crankshaft pulley, and then the seal.
Also, there should be no reason why the cover (as seen on the pic) should be removed.
Regards
Danie

Hi Corne
The front seal is very easy to replace. You can remove the radiator but you can also just hoist it a bit into the air - just make sure no pipes get damaged. Remove the front grill too.
Undo the nut on the pulley - you have to keep the pulley in place. The pulley also has a key when pulling it off and when you put it back. Once the pulley is off you can pull the seal out with a puller.

Hi All.
You have to remove the cover from the engine to replace the front crank seal as the seal is inserted from the inside. There is a shoulder that stop the seal coming to the front.
Regards.
Hercules.

Me too I remember taking the cover off - but thought it was to cure a small oil leak at the top of the cover - thanks Hercules
