Hi all
Something I realise more everyday is that this forum is actually one big family. It is great to see how helpful everyone is. Everybody is willing to share what they learn. No one tries to make their lada the best, but instead tries to make every lada great and keep the lada name alive.
Thank you everybody. I have plenty years (hopefully) ahead of me and I will keep the lada and LOCSA name alive as long as I can.

We now have 90 members - let the countdown begin! Well Danie I don't want to rush you into anything but with a 100 members looming in the very near future perhaps you should start putting your Niva back together in time for the celebrations ;D If all else fails just add one more exhaust then you can push it quite easily without breaking your back ;D ;D ;D

Thanks a lot guys,
But how to deal with all congratulations and the savage threats that all remaining Lada dealers/merchants/agents/artists/rapers/etc... must be destroyed/annihilated/exterminated/crucified. I'm in the same boat. These days I almost expected the firing squad.
..... it's not necessary to replay here or at all. It is not the right place.

I think everyone here respects you Ventz- it does not mean that you'll be able to keep everyone happy all the time. But that's OK- you're trying to make a decent living for yourself and your family, and you seem to have strong ethics. Unlike the "bloody agents" up here.
So, congrats on your new status.

Hi Ventz Perhaps I can make a quick comment here and maybe elaborate on it a bit later. Your position as merchant is going to put you in the firring line sometimes - it is to be expected. The same applies to me as I am supposedly supposed to try and keep everyone in line. Unfortunately It comes with the territory and you and I are not always going to win the popularity contest. However the fact that you as spares supplier and agent is prepared to share your wealth of information in an honest and open way is very much appreciated and welcomed here. Personally my wish is for all parties to participate here on this forum. It is only to the benefit of all. Hope that makes sense Regards Marius

Congrats Ventz Trust me, if you disappear there will be a lot more complaints (including firing squads)... Your presence/knowledge is greatly appreciated. Regards Koos

Hi Ventz
If it makes you feel any better, your prices in my experience are much more favorable than the rip off I experienced in Pretoria. As already mentioned your input on the forum is appreciated and very welcome. Apologies for any of us who have ignored your advice ;D. I suppose you can`t win them all!

Hi Ventz Congratulations on your new membership status - I know you won't believe me, but I hope to see a lot more contributions from your side ! Regarding "firing squad status" - yes, some of us (including myself) are definately under fire . But I believe some of us (including myself) are facing "firing squads" for very good reasons ! I don't think any of our members here have been more exited than myself - at the stage when I "re discovered" you (Ventz) a while ago. Right after I "re discovered' you, I went out of my way to give you as much exposure possible. To my mind that was the right thing to do, because I did have very good personal experience of being on the receiving end of "Ladaworld South Africa". Part of the reason for my excitement - during the past five years I have seen many (initial) extremely exited Lada owners come and go - simply because they eventually became extremely "gatvol", for being ripped off. To be honest, I recently became extremely worried when I became aware of the fact that you quoted one of our members about R4000.00 for the two gears on a Lada Gearbox. You also recently quoted certain prices to myself - and if you do compare your prices with Graf Korvet's prices (link can be found elsewhere) maybe you will understand exactly why I am concerned. To conclude - I honestly hope you will continue making your valued contributions at this forum. Maybe this "price issue" is just an enormous misunderstanding, and hopefully you will be able to accommodate at least some local Lada owners who simple cannot afford these high prices. And if I do have to face a "firing squad" for my views, be assured - it will definately not change the color of my skin ! After all - as long as the average Lada owner will eventually be able to find his / her Lada more affordable - I am already more than ready to fade away over the horizon ! Regards Danie

Hi Danie
My Nivas has pissed me off the last couple of days for the simple fact that I cant just walk into midas and order balljoints and such.
I will finish my Niva and enjoy her and keep her for a long time to come. But my next car I will be building (I plan to build plenty) will be something where spares are freely avalible and affordable.

Hi Charles
I actually decided not to pass any further comments under this post - but one thing that still "keeps me going":
There is no 4 x 4 out there which can beat a Lada Niva's affordability !......but only if.............
