My first Niva was a 1988 1600, which I kept for about three years, I liked it so much I sold it and bought the 1995 Cossack from a garage. It was only about two years old as I remember. I thought it was a real 'looker'. paulg

i did that also in the past: trade in a 1600 for a 1700. Now i keep my eyes wide open for good 1600's

Two great looking Niva's. Interesting trim on the Cossack. Was that standard trim for Euro Cossacks?

Thanks for the interest chaps.I know what you mean about the 1600's Jan, re the Cossack, Marius, I think this trim was unique to the UK. I heard that they came into the UK in Hull (although I'm not 100% about the port, where the orignal trim was removed and the new fitted. Inside the seats were like Rocaro (is that how it's spelt?) and mine had carpets and a good sound system. How often do we say to ourselves 'why did I sell it?' paulg

Lovely looking cars both. What I wouldn't give for a 1600 in that condition now!
