Welcome Neil!
As far as I know, Centurion Lada is in process of being sold. Apparently the owner passed away. This is all heresy.
State your problems. Someone on the forum should be able point you to solution
The manuals are all on Baxters for free downloads. You can also use the links on the blue webpage

Hi Niel and welcome.
Good luck in your search for accessories. They aren't very easy to come by, so most people make their own.

Hi Niel,
Which NIVA have you got?
If it is the 1.7i, there is a section in Technical for the TBI. Mirrors from the Toyota kombi/venture seems popular. No snorkels are available locally. Complete do it yourself instructions are in the Accessories for Lada section or on Baxters website.
Also suggest that you download the workshop manuals from the website (technical button)

Neil, we do a lot of our purchasing from Pavel in the Ukraine, Ventz in Pietermaritzburg and Chris Swales in Pinetown, all their contact details are available in the spare parts suppliers thread.
Pavel (Lada Power) will be the cheapest, but takes 3 to 6 weeks for delivery from the Ukraine.
There again, I have a 1700 I am stripping for spares, so let me know what you are in need of and I might have it.

Hey
Back from my first trip with my lada niva went great on the trip dit the 4by4 obstacles and my lada came out of all of them struglled a bit encountered some problems wondering if you guys can help me I don't have any leaks on my radiator or pipes when on the highway and where traffics not bad its ok but as soon as I'm standing where there's traffic it gets real hot on my heat gage and when doing the 4by4 course when going down hill on the obstacles it is as if my lada floods with petrol or uses excesive petrol and then dies completely then I struggle to get it started again and when it starts its just a ball off white smoke everywhere got any idea why but I can say that I enjoyed it even with these problems if I can get this sorted out it won't have any problems did the course the first time with wheel pressure of 2.5 had give it gas but was my first time offroading think it really went well when I deflated my wheels to about 1 bar did the course without problems but will get better when I get more experience . Please if you guys can help with the 2 problems
Thanks niel

Hi
For the high temperature, check that you got a cowling on your fan, it should attach to the water pump or alternatively fit electric fans to the radiator as well and also ensure you are running a good quality anti freeze in your radiator.
What carb are you running? The standard Solex or a Weber? There can be issues with the Weber not being shielded properly and thus leading to the fuel boiling in the carb.

Hi Niel
Excess heat can lead to percolation, but the weber is known to suffer from petrol spilling over into the carburettor throat and flooding the motor on steep hills. If the carb is the original Russian one check the float level is not too high. If it was percolation due to heat you would have the problem all the time not just when going down hill. As Ihar mentioned it is very important to have the radiator cowl. Many Nivas seem to have them missing.

Hi,
the other things you need to check regarding the overheating are thermostat and radiator cap.
