There must be a graveyard somewhere in SA full of shrouds, as every second Niva appears not to have one.

If importing one is impractcal, Im sure you could make one out of galvanised sheet relatively easily

Shroud is very eazy to make. Made mine in 10 min. Take a strip of sheet metal roll and weld it into a ring. Make a mounting on the water pump and there u go. That sorted out my over heating problems. Ruan

Go have a look at the metal work forums like metal meet steve. All you need is a hammer and a tree stump and you can make just about anything

Good Morning guys. The shroud on CERATOTH has been missing since I got her. The 'problem' as explained to me was that the fixing mount to the engine moves and the shroud fouls (read as can destroy) the fan. There are clear signs of this fouling (big gouges in the plastic) on the fan. Is it possible using the 'hoop of metal option' to mount this directly on to the radiator ? My electric fan, which I use in slow moving summer traffic, is mounted straight through the radiator and works just fine. Regards to all at LOCSA. Keith and CERATOTH

I think what you would need to account for is engine movement. So if the shroud is mounted to the radiator it will need to be bigger so that the fan has space to move around without touching it.
The shroud can be much smaller if its mounted to the engine.

I have a shroud. Lip that attaches to water pump is broken off but it should be easy to devise a new attachment. Cell# 0724255957
