that's correct, she measured 208cm we use these tables for our weights www.fishweights.co.za/index.aspx , she also had an old tag in, i've sent the re-capture details off to ORI (oceanic research institute), will post details when i receive them, it's always great to see how long they were free and distances she covered in that time, this way we assist with the much needed research into these animals

Wow congrats, it must have been quite a fight bringing that in took around 45 minutes to land her, it was like hooking into a lada in low range with diff lock engaged, my shoulders are still aching today ;D

Bloody shark won't learn Can the length discrepancy be explained or is it ascribed to different measuring points? Like slightly higher up the fin in the first instance?

unfortunately this previous angler seems to have measured her along here back instead of along her side which would lead to a discrepancy in length
