You got a fantastic finish? How many coats? Are you using a low pressure spray gun?

3 coats, Charles, and indeed with a low pressure gun (but at 4 bar).

work at the body itself: the left rear quarter: The roof. Some rust was found at the spot where the side and the roof itself are welded together. And the rust under the left front wing

Hi Jan I take it you have the same problem as the UK with the wide spread use of salt in winter. My Peugeot is only 5 years old and it is a bloody mission to even get nuts off. The front discs are held on with 1 x m6 Phillips headed screw and the wheel nuts. Time to remove these, 5 minutes. Time to remove the disc 4 hours. Ronnie

Ronnie we have the same problem at work. I drill them out and tap them. This is just from salt water.

I drilled a series of holes all arround the inside edge, and it was still a mission.

Hi Jan and Spikes
Yes the humidity is always high so when the sun decides to shine it can be warm. The big problem is the sun spends most of it`s time hiding, or at least it has done since I arrived.

today the body will be painted in primer, wet sanded and the inside will be painted yellow. Hopefully by tonight we can put the doors, bonnet and tail gate in it. Tomorrow morning the last preparations will be done and then it's of to the paint boot

we didn't make the deadline The car has been painted before and lots of spots were not sanded and just sprayed over. We spend hours and hours and hours to sand al the old paint at those spots away Just finished painting the insides of the body. Tomorrow we will put the doors, hood and tailgate back in. it's supposed to be in te boot by tomorrow at noon. I'm afraid that will have to wait till monday

final pre-assambling before going to the paint boot. We want to make sure everything fits perfect so we don't have to fix problems when the car is painted. The green parts you see will be painted grey, as it was like that original It took me over 5 hours to line the hood as good as possible to the headlights, the doors and the wings
